In the Academy Villas, you will find a new kind of assisted living in the personalized care, beautiful setting, and the extensive amenities. Thus, the Academy Villas is a special place to live.

PERSONALIZED CARE

Caregivers involve themselves in all aspects of life in the Villas.  For example, they prepare and and serve meals, administer medications and assist residents with challenging task. In addition, two Registered Nurses work provide care to residents on their health and nutrition needs. Because of the involvement,  each caregiver is extensively engaged in all activities and forge strong bonds with residents. Thus, residents and staff work together on care and well-being, and delight in each other’s company.

BEAUTIFUL SETTINGS

Fourteen and sixteen residents, respectively, live in two stand-alone residences, nestled in the Rincon Valley. In these residences, the private guest rooms are large and well equipped, and the common spaces inviting.  These attractive, safe, architectural features are brought together with certified and highly trained caregivers. This provides exceptionally high standards of care. In addition, the Villas is an engaging and safe place for our residents.

EXTENSIVE AMENITIES

The Academy Villas are situated in the heart of a small, highly engaged 55+ community known as Academy Village.  There are many Village amenities for the Villas residences to select among. However, residents also use the amenities offered by the village. Therefore, Villas residents have access to a large swimming pool, spa and tennis courts, musical concerts, fascinating lectures, and new learning opportunities. Further, the Tucson Public Library bookmobile bring additional books to the Village.  Residents read books, and watch the many movie DVD’s in a beautiful new Villas library.  Also available to residents is a game table in the library. Perhaps more importantly, Academy Villagers take pride in the aging-in-place opportunities provided by the Villas and enjoy their involvement with Villas’ residents and staff.

NON-PROFIT AND LOCALLY MANAGED

A tax-exempt, non-profit organization, located within Academy Village, owns and operates the Academy Villas. This allows us to spend the vast majority of the Villas’ revenue on personalized care, quality of life, providing amenities, and maintaining the facilities.  Very little is expended on administration and no funds are allocated to profit.
